Is PCM the new Paradigm?

For those who are interested in how to better manage their personal information, there seems to be a myriad of options available. From Google Docs, GMail, and Google Notebook to the Basecamp suite of products, there are more and more tools to help individuals manage information in a more efficient way.

Men's Health had an interview with Google CIO Douglas Merrill last month that highlighted his use of Google's services in conjunction with his Iphone to effectively manage his personal and professional life.

So, that leads me to the question: Is Personal Content Management the new Paradigm? If an organization can shape the way that employees manage their own lives and work, then wouldn't the ECM System then serve as a Collaboration Tool for everyone's PCM system?

Please post your feedback about what works for you in the comments. We're always interested in better understanding how People feel about ECM, much more so than how ECM feels about people!!
